Calibration insures that your physical therapy equipment is operating within the manufacturer's specifications. Calibration requires special testing equipment to verify all the correct operating parameters for each piece of physical therapy equipment. Certifying agencies such as Medicare, CARF, JACHO, and State regulations require these checks to be performed to maintain certification.
Calibrations should be verified on the following Physical Therapy equipment:
Compression Units
Diathermy
Electrical stimulators
Force Gauges
Freezers or Cold Pack Units
Hand dynamometers
Hydrocollators
Isokinetic Equipment
Paraffin baths
Pinch gauges
Thermometers
Traction
Treadmills
Ultrasound
You no longer have to send your hand dynamometers and pinch gauges off to be calibrated. We can do them onsite with your other testing, with no loss of time. If you prefer you can ship them to us for calibration.
Two forms of documentation are provided:
If the unit passes a sticker is affixed to it reflecting that it passed and the date the next the calibration needs to be performed.
A report summarizing the results of each test is provided for your files.
To assure the accuracy of our testing, our equipment is calibrated annually by independent calibration firms to NIST standards.
